8th Annual Soup Cook Off To Fight Cystic Fibrosis
It's not just soup; it's an experience!
We are excited to announce our 8th Annual Soup (& Chili) Cook Off to benefit those living with Cystic Fibrosis. This event is a cooking competition, where local chefs, both amateur and professional, compete for the win.
Chefs prepare their entries prior to the event, and then serve up their soup, chili, chowder, bisque, stew, or gumbo to the guests! Open to the public, guests taste all of the entries and vote on their favorites in each category. Tasting is unlimited to all who attend. Entry fee includes complimentary drinks, snacks, and fun photo booth printouts by NaterPix. The people’s choice takes the trophy! All winners have earned their bragging rights. Imagine being able to call your soup “award winning!”
This year, we have moved from the Park Inn in Mechanicsburg, to the Radisson in Camp Hill. At 15,000 square feet, this location is the largest banquet hall in this area and will comfortably hold thousands of guests with sufficient seating. This is a great form of advertising to all local restaurants, while supporting a local charity. To enter the competition, we only require 3 gallons of soup, chili, chowder, bisque, stew or gumbo. We encourage chefs to bring their own unique flair to decorate their table for the event.
The Soup Cook Off will be held on Sunday, March 5th, from 12-4 PM, at the Radisson in Camp Hill. The event will also feature music by DJ Squared Entertainment and photography by Mike Sutherland. A cash bar will be available to those 21 and older.
Everyone loves this local charity event, and each year our guest numbers grow in popularity. This is a fun and unique way to support a great cause. This year, our proceeds will directly benefit Heidi Layton, a beautiful mother of a teenage daughter, who is living with Cystic Fibrosis. Our goal is to help her as much as possible, in order for her to continue to live a happy and healthy life with her daughter. Tickets are just $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. Children 5 and under are free!

Here, local and amateur chefs will compete against each other, for a mega-win!
