Camp Fire Stew

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 - 16oz cans of Kidney or Pinto Beans
  • 2 - 12-16oz cans of tomato soup
  • 2 - 12-16oz cans of sweet peas
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • Optional minced garlic or garlic powder
  • Optional cayenne pepper


You can make this is a crockpot or large cooking pot.
Cooking Pot: Brown Beef and onions in frying pan. Start all other ingredients in your cooking pot. Once beef and onions are cooked add to the soup mix. In large cooking pot, bring to boil. Once it gets a good rolling boil, simmer for 10 minutes and serve. Once you bring the stew down to a simmer, add salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper (all optional) to taste.
Crock Pot: Brown Beef in frying pan. Start all other ingredients in crockpot or cooking pot. Once the beef is cooked add to crock pot with other ingredients. Turn on low for 6-8 hours. Add salt, pepper. garlic (powder), cayenne pepper (all optional) in with stew mix and stir.
